Move over Cs

As one passes a magazine newsstand, a new cover might catch their wondering eye. bright, colorful and exceptionally large, the debut issue of Michigan Avenue came out on Sept. 15.

Its leading competitor? Chicago Social of course. Michigan Avenue already brought multiple writers from CS to their own writing staff, giving the new Chicago-oriented magazine well established Chicagoan culture writers.

I happened to stumble across the premier issue of MA while walking around a high-end boutique on Southport. From the moment I saw its glossy finish, bright colors and exceptionally beautiful cover of Cindy Crawford, it was love at first sight.

This magazine has grasped my attention like no other. It carries contributers that range from Mrs. Obama to rap singer Ludacris. It has it all.

And I want it all.

From the the nightlife it describes, to the highly fashionable highrises looming on the Chicago skyline, this magazine has given me a glimpse into the lives of the Chicago luckies.

I have already emailed the magazine, inquiring about freelancing regulations and opportunities. This seems like my niche.
