The light side of politics

Television has gone political. 

Ever since Palin was announced as McCain’s running mate, the spoofs from SNL came rolling in, boosting viewer ship by 50 percent. And according to NBC, that is an unheard of increase in viewership in today’s television. 

New York Times writer Bill Carter has written a really good trend story that describes the impact politics has on television and what television does to politics. (rumor has it that Palin herself will be making an appearance on SNL at some point in the near future)
